EUGENE–University of Oregon fine arts faculty members Kate Wagle and Margaret Prentice will give gallery talks at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Museum of Art, 1430 Johnson Lane on the UO campus.

Their talks will be presented in conjunction with the Museum of Art’s current exhibition, "18 Points of View," which showcases artworks by UO fine and applied arts faculty members. The exhibition continues through Jan. 2, 2000.

Wagle, an associate professor who currently heads the UO Department of Fine and Applied Arts, has exhibited throughout the United States and Europe. A member of the fine arts faculty since 1994, she received her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in jewelry and metalsmithing at Arizona State University in 1981.

Also an associate professor, Prentice teaches printmaking, drawing and artists’ books. A UO fine arts faculty member since 1986, she has exhibited in the United States, Europe, Asia and Mexico. Prentice received her MFA degree in painting and drawing at University of Colorado in 1980.

Open from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, the Museum of Art is accessible to people with disabilities. Suggested admission is $3, except on Wednesdays when the MusEvenings! program offers free programming, refreshments and extended viewing hours from 5—8 p.m. Museum members, students with ID, UO employees and children are admitted free.
