enlightening demonstrations of the physical sciences that encourages student
participation. Circus "acts" include the crushing force of the
atmosphere, time "reversal," things that go boom, and some "hair
raising" demonstrations. Stan Micklavzina is a faculty member in the physics department at the University of Oregon. He has been involved with physics demonstrations for more than 18 years.
