Close to half of the judges in Oregon are really ducks at heart–University of Oregon Ducks. More than 75 of the state’s judges are graduates of the UO School of Law. The law school will honor these alumni judges at an invitation-only dinner and reception on Friday, April 20, at the Benson Hotel,
309 S.W. Broadway Ave. in Portland. Why did so many UO graduates become judges? Easy, says law school dean Rennard Strickland. "The UO has a 100-year tradition of teaching our students the value of public service. What better service could there be than providing leadership from the bench?" .
