BACKGROUND

In his speech to the OrACRAO, Frohnmayer will discuss the critical role higher education plays in preparing students to meet the challenges of the new millennium.

"The future our students face will include new challenges and opportunities we can only imagine," says Frohnmayer. "One certainty is that continuing education will enable them to better meet these challenges and help them continue along their successful paths."

OrACRAO is comprised of registrars and admissions officers from Oregon’s public and private four-year and two-year institutions of higher education.

A native Oregonian, Frohnmayer is the 15th president of the University of Oregon, the state’s 123-year-old center for liberal arts, science and professional studies. He assumed the presidency on July 1, 1994.
