ROMERO TO ADDRESS UO SUMMER GRADUATES

EUGENE–Philip Romero, dean of the University of Oregon’s Charles H. Lundquist College of Business, will address UO summer term graduates at the 2000 UO summer commencement exercises at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12.

More than 1,100 degree candidates are eligible to participate in the ceremonies, which will be held outdoors, rain or shine, at the Memorial Quadrangle on the west edge of the UO campus. Tickets are not needed for the free public event.

Summer term’s 1,129 UO degree candidates include 719 slated to receive bachelor’s degrees, 57 certificate recipients, 289 master’s degree candidates and 61 completing doctoral degrees. Three law students also are scheduled to receive doctor of jurisprudence degrees.
