EUGENE–The popular jazz combo, "Three Cats Theory," will inaugurate the University of Oregon Museum of Art’s 1999 MusEvenings! program series with a performance at 6 p.m. on Wednesday Jan. 6, at the museum, 1430 Johnson Lane on campus.

The upbeat jazz band consists of three young guys on guitar, drums and sometimes a horn. MusEvenings! will showcase the band which plays gigs all around town, usually with a cover charge, for free.

As usual during the weekly MusEvenings! programs, refreshments will be served. Soda, beer, and wine also are available for $1.

The UO Museum of Art, accessible to people with disabilities, is open from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Suggested admission is $3, except on Wednesdays when the MusEvenings! program offers free extended viewing hours from 5—8 p.m. Museum members, students, UO employees and children are admitted free.
