EUGENE–Chamber music of the Baroque and Renaissance eras, performed on period instruments, will highlight the final concert of winter term this week at the University of Oregon School of Music.

The Collegium Musicum, under the direction of Assistant Professor Marc Vanscheeuwijck, will give its winter concert at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, in Room 198 of the Music Building, 961 E. 18th Ave. Tickets, available at the door, are $5 general admission and $3 for students and senior citizens.

The program will open with chamber music pieces by Holborne, Vivaldi, Hoffmeister and others. The second half of the program will feature J. S. Bach’s "Mass in F" (BWV 233) with soloists, small choir and orchestra.

The Collegium Musicum is a 21-piece student ensemble that specializes in music of the 17th and early 18th centuries. The members perform on instruments of the era and often double as vocalists.
