EUGENE--Eugene-area professionals will unlock the secrets of career success for University of Oregon students at "Take a Duck to Lunch," an annual event sponsored by the Eugene Chamber of Commerce, UO Student Alumni Association and U-Lane-O Credit Union on Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Eugene Hilton, 66 E. Sixth Ave. This popular program provides students with an opportunity to visit with local professionals and learn about a particular career area of interest such as public relations, architecture, accounting and health care, among others. Approximately 60 students and 60 community members are expected to participate. "This event is a wonderful way for students to learn about career opportunities and gives community members a rare opportunity to interact with and serve as mentors to university students," says Nikole Koelbel, adviser to the UO Student Alumni Association. There is a $15 fee for professionals; U-Lane-O Credit Union pays the student registration fees. Make reservations before Thursday, Feb. 5. To register or for more information, call the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce, (541) 484-1314, or the Student Alumni Association, 346-2107. -30- #P-1132/Local
