EUGENE–More than 800 prospective University of Oregon students and their families will be flocking to campus during March and April to participate in Duck Days.

The program is designed to encourage high school juniors and seniors, as well as transfer students, to explore all of the opportunities offered at the university.

The dates for this year’s programs are March 12, 19 and 30 and April 6 and 20. Registration begins on Feb. 1 but participants should register at least three weeks prior to the program they wish to attend.

Each of the one-day events will begin with check-in at 12:30 p.m., followed by a welcome program at 1 p.m. Participants then will hear about all of the university’s student and academic programs and will have a chance to take a guided tour of campus and its state-of-the-art facilities.

Faculty from each department will be available to speak with interested students about their programs for part of the afternoon. The day will end at 4 p.m. with a reception offering participants the opportunity to mingle with faculty, staff and current students.

For more information or to register, call the UO Office of Admissions, (541) 346-3201 or 1 (800) BE-A-DUCK (232-3825), or register online at <http://admissions.uoregon.edu/visit/duckdays.htm>.
