The free event is slated from 13 p.m. at the Museum of Art, 1430 Johnson Lane on the UO campus. Refreshments will be served.
Visitors are invited to participate in a number of informal art activities. Scheduled events include:
1 p.m. Art activities, such as frame decorating and collage activities will continue throughout the afternoon.
12 p.m. Storytelling related to hope.
1:302:30 p.m. Every half hour, teen docents from the Bethel Temple Gospel Choir and Youth Choirs will lead tours of the "Hope Photographs" exhibition.
Visitors also will be able to view all of the current museum exhibitions, including the special "Hope Photographs" traveling photography exhibition on display through March 7; the newly renovated Fay Boyer Preble and Virginia Cooke Murphy Wing of Japanese Art; and other continuing exhibits.
The UO Museum of Art, accessible to people with disabilities, is open from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Suggested admission is $3, except on Wednesdays when the MusEvenings! program offers free extended viewing hours from 58 p.m. Museum members, students, UO employees and children are admitted free.
The museum is supported in part by grants from the Frances A. Staten Fund of The Oregon Community Foundation, the Oregon Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
