11 a.m. Mad Duckling Theatre: "Schoolhouse Rock Live!" is a high-energy, fast-paced
through Aug. 5 and fun romp through the "Schoolhouse Rock" animated shorts broadcast by ABC-TV on Saturday mornings from 1973 to 1985. Adopted by the Chicago acting company, Theatre BAM, from the Emmy Award-winning series, it includes such songs as "Conjunction Junction" and "Lolly Lolly Lolly." Newly renovated Preble-Murphy Wing of Japanese Art: Includes a
changing print gallery featuring traditional woodblock prints. A second gallery offers highlights from the collections including Buddhist sculpture, textiles, ceramics, metalwork, hanging scrolls and painted screens.
Chinese Imperial Throne Room: Features works from the museums
collection of Imperial objects from the Qing Dynasty, including textiles, furniture, glass, ceramics and the largest jade pagoda outside China.
