EXPLORE MARS ON UO WEB PAGE, AT PLANETARIUM SHOW

Pathfinder has captured the imagination of people around the globe, and Mars enthusiasts now can find two local opportunities for learning more about the Red Planet.

Web Page: Visit Mars via the University of Oregon's new "Mars Pathfinder Information and Images Page." The page, located at <http://zebu.uoregon.edu/mars.html>, contains Pathfinder images including NASA's animated 360-degree panoramic shot; pre-Pathfinder images of Mars; five graphic-laden; web-based lectures about Mars; and links to other Pathfinder material. The page has been created by UO physics professor Greg Bothun, who also serves as the director of the Pine Mountain Observatory near Bend, and by other members of the UO astronomy group.
