EUGENERennard Strickland, dean of the University of Oregon School of Law, is the new chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Law School Admission Council (LSAC).
Strickland, who was installed as the 1999-2001 chairman at LSACs annual meeting in June, became the first person to have served both as LSAC board chair and president of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS). He was AALS president in 1994.
LSAC is a nonprofit corporation whose members are 196 law schools in the United States and Canada. Headquartered in Newtown, Pa., LSAC administers the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) and also supervises law school recruitment and admission processes.
