EUGENE–University of Oregon athletic director Bill Moos has retained the Kansas City-based law firm of Bond, Schoeneck and King, L.L.P., to conduct an independent evaluation of the UO’s women’s basketball program. The firm will begin its evaluation on Tuesday, March 27.

Moos discussed the plans for the evaluation with women’s basketball coach Jody Runge on the morning of Saturday, March 24. The firm will meet with coaching staff and players, as well as members of the athletic department, the administration and the community as part of its review.

"This is a complex situation with many perspectives. In my opinion, the best course of action is to seek an independent review that can provide a fair and objective analysis. Bond, Schoeneck and King are intimately familiar with intercollegiate athletics, the PAC—10, and women’s basketball. They will assist me in framing the issues to be discussed, while keeping Jody fully involved in the process that will thoroughly examine her perspective."

Bond, Schoeneck and King is a national law firm with offices in Kansas, New York and Florida. The firm has a national reputation for its collegiate sports law group, headed by a former enforcement officer for the National Collegiate Athletics Association.
