Eight students, all undergraduates picked by the UO Office of Orientation, are calling newly admitted UO students. The New Student Telephone Project (NSTP) callers are contacting Ducks-to-be, congratulating them on their acceptance and answering any questions new students might have about attending the university and living in the Eugene/Springfield area. The NSTP began in mid-January and will continue until the beginning of May. Last year, NSTP staff members placed 10,000 calls to nearly 6,000 incoming students.
