HEP WINTER TERM GRADUATES ANNOUNCED

EUGENE–Twenty-six students will be honored Thursday, March 11, at a ceremony marking their graduation from the High School Equivalency Program (HEP) at the University of Oregon.

The 7 p.m. ceremony, free and open to the public, will be held in the Fir Room of the Erb Memorial Union, 1222 E. 13th Ave. on the UO campus. A reception will follow in the same location.

More than 3,000 migrant and seasonal farm worker youths have completed the federally funded program and received a Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED) since the program was established in 1968.

The winter term 1999 HEP graduates are:

EUGENE–Dionicio Betanzos, María del Rosío Díaz, Rogelio Gutiérrez, Gloria Martínez, José Antonio Mora, Paola G. Rabago, Estela Ramírez, Serena Sánchez, María Sollo, Ana Vásquez and Maria I. Zarazúa.

McMINNVILLE–Reynaldo García.

PORTLAND–Olga Brambila, Alejandra Contreras and Erika E. Contreras.
