EUGENEThe University of Oregon Office of Orientation has selected its 1999 ConDUCKtoursstudent volunteers who help visitors find their way around by leading campus tours and answering visitors questions.
"The ConDUCKtours are highly qualified students who go through a selective application process in order to represent the UO to prospective students and parents, as well as to alumni, community members and visitors to the Eugene area," says Kris Winter, director of student orientation programs.
Once a week, ConDUCKtours give one of the campus tours which are offered routinely at
10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and at 2 p.m. on Saturdays. They also staff the information booth in Oregon Hall two hours a week and lead at least one pre-arranged special tour per term.
"Visitors to the UO appreciate the students honest answers to their questions, as well as the opportunity to get the current student perspective," Winter says.
