BRAIN SCIENCE ON DISPLAY AS UO NEUROSCIENCE LABS OPEN DOORS TO PUBLIC APRIL 3

EUGENE–University of Oregon scientists are inviting the public to learn about some of the latest brain-related research at an open house of many UO research laboratories on Saturday, April 3.

The Neuroscience Open House is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon in Heustis Hall, 1425 E. 13th Ave. on the UO campus. It will feature laboratory demonstrations and an opportunity for community members to ask questions of participating scientists who represent a wide variety of research interests in both psychology and biology.

Immediately following the open house, biology professor Nathan Tublitz will present a free public lecture, "The Brain: Window to the World." Tublitz will speak from noon—1p.m. in Room 100 of Willamette Hall, 1371 E. 13th Ave.

The day’s events are sponsored by the UO Institute of Neuroscience, the University of Oregon and the Society for Neuroscience.
