HEP SPRING TERM GRADUATES ANNOUNCED

EUGENE–Twenty-four students who have completed the High School Equivalency Program (HEP) at the University of Oregon will be honored in a graduation ceremony on Friday, June 2.

The graduation ceremony will start at 7 p.m. in the Fir Room of the Erb Memorial Union,
1222 E. 13th Ave. on the UO campus. A reception will follow the ceremony in the same location. The event is open to the public.

More than 3,000 migrant and seasonal farm worker youths have completed the federally funded program and received a Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED) since the program was established in 1968.

The spring term 2000 HEP graduates from Oregon are:

EUGENE–Dolores T. Aldridge, Marina Alvarado, Laura Díaz, Eliana Horna, Marelin Morante, Isabel Nuñez H., Luis E. Pillajo, Hector Rosales and Francisco Velazquez.

PARKDALE–Germán Santillán.

PORTLAND–Sergio Hernandez and Victor J. Solis.

SALEM–Miriam Pérez.

SPRINGFIELD–Guillermina Bautista.

TALENT–Victor Cruz.

WOODBURN–Vicenta Hernandez.
