UO STUDENTS GIVEN CENTURION AWARDS

EUGENE–More than 100 University of Oregon student leaders received 2000 Centurion Awards in recognition of their "dedication and outstanding service" throughout the past year.

Centurions accepted their awards during the Family Weekend All-University Awards Luncheon on May 20. Faculty members nominated students for the award, and a panel of faculty, staff and students then selected the award winners.

Out-of-state and foreign Centurion Award recipients include:

ALASKA–Adolf V. Zeman, a senior political science major, Anchorage; and Robin Elizabeth Miller, a sophomore political science major, Ketchikan.

ARKANSAS–Laura Kay Bankhead, a junior biology major, Rogers.

ARIZONA–Daniel Martin Katz, a senior political science major, Scottsdale.

CALIFORNIA–Jennifer Joanne Eggers, a junior advertising and Spanish major, Alamo; Jennifer Marie Boreing, a junior, international studies and French major, Bayside; David Michael Gorman, a senior political science major, Concord; Brian James Malloy, a junior political science major, Eureka; Charles Joshua Gabbe, a junior planning, public policy and management, and political science major, Irvine; Chad Elliot Kirkpatrick, a senior architecture major, La Jolla; Angelique D.
