UO STUDENTS GIVEN CENTURION AWARDS

EUGENE–One hundred University of Oregon student leaders received 2001 Centurion Awards in recognition of their "dedication and outstanding service" throughout the past year.

Centurions accepted their awards during the Family Weekend All-University Awards Luncheon on May 19. Faculty members nominated students for the award, and a panel of faculty, staff and students then selected the award winners.

Out-of-state and foreign Centurion Award recipients include:

ALAKSA–Marie K. Pickard-Brown, a senior family and human services major, Ketchikan.

ARIZONA–Serena Radcliffe Charley, a senior educational studies major, Page; and Teresa Lopez Haro, a senior ethnic studies major, Tucson.

CALIFORNIA–Jackie Ann Owens, a senior journalism major, Elk Grove; Craig Alan Leonard, a junior religious studies major, Fountain Valley; Elizabeth Ann Schunk, a sophomore educational studies major, Novato; Heather Ann DeVore, a junior family and human services major, Poway; Sarah Beth Weiner, a junior international studies major, Rancho Palos Verdes; Gregory David Eller, a junior general science major, San Diego; Teresa Anitra Garcia, a senior international studies major, Santa Maria; and Marcella Marie Marchesano, a junior planning, public policy and management major, Thousand Oaks.

COLORADO–Jennifer Corinne Ames, a freshman pre-journalism major, Colorado Springs; Anthony James Lambatos, a freshman pre-business administration major, Denver; and Andrea Samuel Lipstein, a sophomore family and human services major, Golden.

FLORIDA–Gregory David Eller, a junior general science major, Orlando.

IDAHO–Erik Mark Talbert, a senior journalism major, Caldwell.

ILLINOIS–Andrea Samuel Lipstein, a sophomore family and human services major, Arlington Heights.

MICHIGAN–Jeff Lawrence Oliver, a junior political science and journalism major, Plymouth.

MONTANA–Karen Lynn Myhr, a senior psychology and business administration major, Great Falls.

NEVADA–Rachel Ann Pilloid, a freshman political science major, Reno.

UTAH–Britta Marie Ameel, a junior international studies and humanities major, Salt Lake City.

 

WASHINGTON–Dominique C.M. Beaumonté, a sophomore pre-journalism major, Seattle; Eda Melinda Rice, a freshman news-editorial journalism major, Seattle; and Murray Sampson, a freshman pre-journalism major, Walla Walla.

CANADA–Tove Katrina Holmes, a senior German and comparative literature major, North Vancouver, British Columbia.

CHINA–Yu Bai, a sophomore business administration major, Dalian; and Xing "Julia" Yuan Wu, a senior business administration major, Liuzhou.
