EUGENE--They'll be driving for show and putting for scholarship dough.

University of Oregon Athletic Director Bill Moos, Duck football coach Mike Bellotti and Ernie Kent, the new UO men's basketball coach, will hit the greens with alumni and friends for the UO Alumni Association Lane County Chapter's "Scholarship Golf Tournament," June 20 at the Emerald Valley Resort, 83293 Dale Kuni Rd., Creswell.

The alumni chapter and tournament sponsor, Hyundai Semiconductor America, invite local Duck supporters to the annual fund-raising event to help support a scholarship fund for future UO students.

Over the past five years, the tournament has helped the chapter grant more than $40,000 in scholarships to talented Lane County students. The event also provides alumni a chance to get together and mix with university coaches and faculty.

"This event is a great opportunity to play a round of golf with old friends and make new ones, meet university coaches, win some great prizes and support future Ducks in the process," says Dan Bedbury, tournament chair, Lane County Alumni Chapter.

The tournament fee is $80 for the general public, $70 for dues-paying members of the Alumni Association.

Make reservations before Thursday, June 5. To register or for more information, call the UO Alumni Association, (541) 346-5656.
