UO LECTURE SERIES HIGHLIGHTS SEXUAL ASSAULT AWARENESS MONTH

EUGENE--May is designated as Sexual Assault Awareness month. In an effort to increase awareness about sexual assault and encourage discussion promoting healthy relationships, the University of Oregon is sponsoring the month-long "3D Luncheon Series."

Offered by the UO Office of Student Life, the Associated Students of the University of Oregon Women's Center and several student groups, the lectures will include brown-bag lunches, desserts, discussion and soft drinks (soda, punch) in an effort to examine different aspects of sexual violence in an informal, discussion format.

Tuesday, May 12

"Men Care, But What Can We Do?" with presenter Jack Stratton, co-founder of Men Against Rape and the National Coalition of Men Against Sexism. 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Ben Linder Room, Erb Memorial Union, 1222 E. 13th Ave.

Wednesday, May 20

"Activism Within the Anti-Violence Movement" with presenter Sarah Buel, co-founder of the National Training Center on Domestic and Sexual Violence. Noon-2 p.m., Fir Room, Erb Memorial Union, 1222 E. 13th Ave.

Tuesday, May 26

"Moving On" with presenter Sharon Emery, marriage and family therapist. 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Ben Linder Room, Erb Memorial Union, 1222 E. 13th Ave.
