EUGENE--Thirty-four students will be honored Thursday, Dec. 4, at a ceremony marking their graduation from the High School Equivalency Program (HEP) at the University of Oregon. The 7 p.m. ceremony, free and open to the public, will be held in the Browsing Room of the Knight Library, 1501 Kincaid St. on the UO campus. A reception will follow in the same location. More than 3,000 migrant and seasonal farm worker youths have completed the federally funded program and received a Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED) since the program was established in 1968.
