PORTLAND--The historic Pittock Mansion, 3229 N.W. Pittock Dr., will serve as the backdrop for the University of Oregon Alumni Association Portland Chapter's Holiday Music Fest scheduled from 7-10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5.

The 15th annual event will feature a holiday performance of festive instrumental and choral music by students from the UO School of Music. Guests also will have the opportunity to enjoy a buffet while visiting with UO President Dave Frohnmayer, faculty, fellow UO alumni and friends.

Perched 1,000 feet above Oregon's largest city, the mansion overlooks Portland's spectacular skyline from Pittock Acres Park. Built in 1916 by Portland newspaper publisher Henry Pittock, the mansion has been restored and is furnished with elegant period pieces. Each year, the mansion is exquisitely decorated for the holiday season, drawing thousands of visitors for tours throughout the season.

Tickets for the Dec. 5 event are $26 for dues-paying UO Alumni Association members and $28 for nonmembers. Proceeds will benefit the chapter's scholarship fund for UO students.

Reservations are due Nov. 21. To make reservations or for more information on this event and other UO Alumni Association activities, call (541) 346-5656 or browse <http://darkwing.uoregon.
