FUTURE DUCKS TO PREVIEW UO PROGRAMS, ACTIVITIES ON NOV. 14
November 12, 1999
Hundreds of prospective college students and their families will flock to the University of Oregon on Sunday, Nov. 14, for the annual Duck Preview. "This is a great opportunity for college-bound students and their parents to view campus life and learn about the wide variety of high-quality programs and services the university has to offer," says Randy Hernandez, senior assistant director of the UO Admissions Office. The day-long event will begin with registration and a student activities fair from 89 a.m. at McArthur Court, 1601 University St. on campus. Vice President Duncan McDonald will welcome participants at 9:45 a.m., and then current UO students will escort visitors on a 45-minute campus walking tour before visitors participate in two academic interest sessions. Following lunch at the Erb Memorial Union, 1222 E. 13th Ave., the fledging Ducks and their parents are invited, beginning at 1:15 p.m., to attend any of the several informal presentations, open houses and tours on such topics as the Honors College, establishing Oregon residency for tuition purposes, university and Greek housing options, library collections and demonstrations of technology services, and School of Music performance opportunities.
