EUGENEStudents can literally have a ball Halloween weekend at the University of Oregon.
The UO is offering an abundance of fun activities in celebration of Halloween weekend,
Oct. 29-31, including a Masquerade Ball, performance by former Saturday Night Live comedian David Spade, a Halloween Dance and a Midnight Breakfast.
"Theres no shortage of fun activities Halloween weekend, and we hope students take advantage of whats being offered," says Anne Leavitt, associate vice president for student affairs and dean of students. "Its also Homecoming and Family Weekend, so were looking forward to lots of student participation in these festive campus activities."
The weekend events include:
Friday, Oct. 29
7 p.m. Ice Hockey, UO vs. UCLA, Lane County Ice arena, Lane County Fairgrounds, 796 W. 13th Ave. Tickets, available at the door, are $2 for students and $4 for general public.
8 p.m. "Vampyr" Cultural Forum Friday Night Film Series, Room 180, Prince Lucien Campbell Hall, 1415 Kincaid St. Admission is $3.
8:30 p.m. "Masquerade in Monte Carlo," the UOs first annual Homecoming Ball, Ballroom, Erb Memorial Union (EMU), 1222 E. 13th Ave. Tickets, available at The Break (formerly the EMU rec center), are $12 per individual, $20 per couple.
Saturday, Oct. 30
12:30 p.m. Multicultutural Tailgate party, UO vs. Arizona State, Stadium Platform, just south of Autzen Stadium adjacent to the footbridge. Free refreshments. Student ID required.
7:30 p.m. Ice Hockey, UO vs. UCLA, Lane County Ice arena, Lane County Fairgrounds. Tickets, available at the door, are $2 for students and $4 for general public.
9 p.m. David Spade, former Saturday Night Live comedian. McArthur Court, 1601 University St. Tickets are $10 for students, $20 for general public and are available at the EMU ticket office and all Fastixx outlets.
8 p.m.-midnight Halloween Dance, sponsored by the International Student Association, includes music, free food and a costume contest. Riley Hall, 650 E. 11th Ave. Student ID required.
11:30 p.m.3 a.m. Midnight Breakfast, immediately following the David Spade show, includes (Daylight Savings coffee, scrambled eggs and bagels. Fishbowl, EMU.

Sunday, Oct. 31
9:45 p.m. Rocky Horror Picture Show. Admission is $3 for students, $5 for general public. Ballroom, EMU.
The events are sponsored by the Office of Student Life; EMU Cultural Forum, The Break and The Buzz; Student Activities Resource Office and the Multicultural Center; University Housing; and the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics.
