EUGENE--The University of Oregon School of Music will welcome students back to campus with its annual "Faculty Musicale" at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, in Beall Concert Hall, 961 E. 18th Ave. Admission is free, and the event is open to the general public.

The concert is designed to welcome both new and returning students to the music school and allow them to see and hear some of the music faculty in performance.

The concert will feature a duet by organist Barbara Baird and oboist J. Robert Moore; a keyboard duet with Anne Dhu McLucas, music school dean, and David Crumb, a new composition professor; a jazz trio featuring guitarist Don Latarski; a duo-piano selection featuring Dean Kramer and Claire Wachter; and other performers.

A reception will follow the concert, offering students and the public an opportunity to meet informally with the faculty and performers. Light refreshments will be provided.

For more information, call the UO School of Music weekdays at (541) 346-5678. To confirm concert times and ticket information, call GuardLine from a Touch-Tone phone at 485-2000, ext. 2533, for a 24-hours-a-day taped message of the week's events.
